MotoGP rider scoops Tissot watches as race pr
MotoGP rider Jorge Lorenza has been awarded a pair of watches after racing to victory in an event at Laguna Seca.
In a blog for Luxist, Ariel Adams wrote that the Spaniard was given a total of two Tissot watches, one as reward for coming first in a race and another for scoring the best qualifying lap time - the fifth time in a row that the rider achieved this ahead of a main race.
The rider was given a Tissot T-Touch Expert watch which was presented to him by the firm's US president Sharon Buntain.
"Lorenzo will likely be wearing the Tissot watch with frequency - just as many people in MotoGP do (given that Tissot has been associated with MotoGP for so long)," noted Ms Adams.
Swiss brand Tissot watches has been manufacturing luxury timepieces since 1853 and its wristwear is often provided as a prize at sporting events such as motorbike and car racing tournaments.
