Casio watches ambassador Redman shows off ska
Grammy award-winning rapper Redman has shown off another of his talents at the 2nd Annual Skatedown in Stapletown.
The Casio watches ambassador was at the Staten Island event, which saw the Van Duzer Street area of the island transformed into a skating space for the day, to run competitive jam sessions alongside pro-skater Brian Saul, reported the Hip Hop Press.
Prizes on offer to the best skaters on the day included style staples for those who like life on wheels, including Converse trainers, T-shirts and skateboard decks.
According to the source, the rapper also showed off "his sickest trick" to the assembled crowd as he attempted an Ollie, a trick which sees skaters jump as high as they can.
Redman is signed to the world famous Def Jam label and the video to his last song, Lookin' Fly, was a homage to the late Michael Jackson. The rapper parodied one of the King of Pop's old videos for the song.
