Moto GP rider Nicky Hayden has spoken out about his disappointment at the current rankings of his team this season.
In an interview with Alpine Stars, the Tissot watches ambassador said that while "on paper", being fourth in points doesn't sound particularly bad, "knowing that we've been close to having a lot better season" has left him less than thrilled with the result.
"There were certainly a couple of those fourth places that could've been podiums, but we've taken a big step from last year," he said.
However, the rider commented that he is now a lot happier with his bike and his team and that many of the upcoming races in the season are at tracks which he feels comfortable riding. In the next few weeks, he will be taking to the tarmac on the Sachsenring in Germany and the Mazda Raceway at Laguna Seca.
Hayden has won the Moto GP three times and has made it onto the podium in 20 races.
