Tissot watches ambassador Michael Owen to wat
Footballer Michael Owen is set to visit Uttoxeter racecourse to watch his own horses run the course.
According to BBC Sport, the Tissot watches ambassador is due to travel to the course today (July 14th) to see Holoko Heights and Paddy Partridge.
It noted that the footballer, currently recovering from a hamstring injury, has got a long history with horse racing and opened his own stables in Cheshire three years ago. Owen has had a successful career as a striker, playing for both Newcastle and Liverpool in the UK and Read Madrid overseas.
Speaking about the visit, general manager of the course David MacDonald told BBC Radio Stoke: "It's great walking around with celebrities and getting them to meet people. When I was walking around with David
Cameron a couple of years ago, there was a fantastic response."
The footballer is also starring in TV ad for BT to promote sports channel packages on Sky.
