Are classic styles back in fashion in discoun
A fashion for men's watch styles which portrays stealth luxury and classic style has appeared on the back of the global economic downturn, it has been noted.
Writing for the Los Angeles Times, Adam Tschorn said that the men's luxury watch market, which could include discounted watches from brands such as Tissot and Rotary, is now showing "a return to classic styles and the notion of brand heritage".
Luxury watch customers may have noticed a trend for pieces which are not overly flashy, he said, with a particular trend being seen for time pieces that are not brightly coloured.
Speaking to the source, co-owner of a high end watch store Josh Briest said that the "black on black" look is currently popular within the men's watch sector.
"What they call a kind of phantom black look; watches with a black face, black casing and black straps," he explained.
Meanwhile, high quality watches ambassador Pixie Lott was recently seen sporting a women's timepiece while appearing as a guest judge at the Cardiff auditions for TV show the X Factor.
